Rescue. Rehabilitate. Reunite.
An India where no soul is nameless.
"To seek out destitute and mentally ill individuals abandoned on India's streets, and walk alongside them — providing emergency rescue, food, shelter, medical care, and identity — until they find their way back to dignity and family."
Every day, our team is out on the streets, railway stations, and roadsides of India — looking for those who have been forgotten. When we find them, we do not just provide temporary relief. We walk alongside them through medical care, rehabilitation, and the long journey home — because we believe that finding someone is only the beginning.
"An India where no human being lives or dies on the street without a name, without care, and without someone who knows they exist."
This vision drives every decision we make — from how we approach a person in distress, to how we build partnerships with medical providers and government bodies. It is not just a statement on a wall; it is the reason we wake up every morning and go back to the streets.
To establish a dedicated rehabilitation centre that provides long-term shelter, psychiatric care, and reintegration support for destitute and mentally ill individuals rescued from India's streets.
Subject to financial resources, this centre will serve as a permanent home for those who have no family to return to and no place to call their own.

India faces a severe shortage of accessible mental health infrastructure — Parichaya aims to be part of the solution.

A four-step process built on care, patience, and dignity
Our volunteers patrol streets, stations, and roadsides to identify individuals in distress and bring them to safety.
We arrange immediate medical attention — food, clothes, basic healthcare, and psychiatric assessment where needed.
Ongoing shelter, treatment, and psychological support while we work to restore the person's identity and wellbeing.
Wherever possible, we trace and reunite individuals with their families. For those without family, we find safe, long-term shelter.
